Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is a subset of outsourcing that involves contracting the operations and responsibilities for a particular business process to a third-party service provider. In the world of customer service, this outsourcing occurs in the form of a contact/call center. Businesses (especially enterprises) will outsource some of their customer service inquiries to a BPO.
